On The Road

We started our Minnesota adventure Wednesday night about 6pm.  Natalie was out less than 5 minutes after we hit the road.

It was a beautiful drive through Eastern Washington as we watched a full moon rising.

We allowed the kids much more movie time this trip than in the past.  I feel guilty about that, but was happy to have the quiet.

We stopped in Idaho for the night.  Michael was so gracious to let us stay at their house for the night.  It was really fun to finally see their new house!

We hit the road around 8:30 Thursday morning.  Our first stop was in Missoula for lunch.  We found a little park to roam around.  The kids were fascinated by all the locks of love on the bridge.

The girls strolled along the river for a few minutes, while Ryan pouted because he didn't have his flip flops on.  Hopefully he learned to listen to his mother.

We had to check out the locks again on our way back to the car.

The kids did great as we pushed on.  We stopped in Billings for dinner, got the kids situated and continued our trek through Montana.

As we were approaching Dickinson, ND David and I saw the most amazing shooting star EVER.  It completely lit up the sky and then we watched it glow a bright red as it burned out.  It was amazing!

We ended up making it to Bismarck, which left a short 4-hour drive to the cabin Friday morning!
