Last Day of Summer Tradition

It's an annual tradition to hang out with friends after Meet the Teacher on the last day of summer vacation!  So fun!  This year we went bowling and frozen yogurt! (Ryan didn't join because he was attending a birthday party).

Cutters Reunion Party

After attending a memorial service earlier this summer for a friend we'd met at Cutters, we decided that we need to have a little reunion party.  It was sad for all of us to get together under those circumstances.  Both David and I met so many good people in our time there, but as lives get busy we didn't stay in touch as best we could.

We gathered everyone on Saturday which also happened to be my friend Shari's birthday, so we created a reunion/birthday party.  It was great!  We met new babies and saw people we hadn't seen in YEARS!

Shari's husband is the best babysitter.  He and Ryan always hit it off.  Ryan was thrilled to have someone to talk Pokemon with!

The house at night, with my new lights up!

Natalie made a new friend.

Good Times.  Good People.

Football Jamboree

Ryan started football on August 8th, and has been practicing 5 days a week ever since.  He and Coach David love every second.  It's really fun to hear their stories each night when they get home from practice.

Today, they boys had their Jamboree - where they scrimmage other teams so they get practice in a game-like setting.  I wasn't able to make it as I was prepping for a party, so my friend Ana picked up the girls and took them with her.  They shopped at Target for post game snacks, too.

According to Coach David, the boys played really well!  Ryan is #51 and has been playing offensive line again this year, and is also doing some defense too.  Go Liberty!

Unexpected Guests

It's been awhile since we've seen any deer in our yard, so were surprised to see a doe and two fawns roaming through this morning!

Beach Time With Dad

David took the kids to the beach for the weekend.  They had a great time crabbing, fishing and playing on the beach with Grandma Karen and Grandpa Bill!

The Boehm Family 4 made a brief visit to see us on their way to the beach.

It was fun to see their growing girls, and celebrate Kaycie's birthday!

Sammamish Rotary Work Party

I joined my new Rotary Club members from Sammamish Rotary at the Rotary First Harvest work party today.  It's a great group of people, and I'm so happy to be a part of the club. We had a great time repacking apples for those in need.

Sunriver

The kids and I headed to Sunriver, Oregon this weekend.  David couldn't join us because of a work obligation, so the 4 of us made the 6 hour drive on our own.  I was nervous about doing it solo, but the trip was great.  We took a new route so had lots of new scenery along the way.

We were thrilled to be at Joe and Judi's house again, and it didn't take long for the kids to remember where everything was.

We got the bikes ready to go first thing Friday morning, and I quickly learned I had made a huge mistake.  I brought Natalie's bike with training wheels instead of packing the tag along bike.  This err came to bite me a few times!  We made it work, but it was definitely a challenge to manage all three on the bike trails.

We spent a day at SHARC, which the kids loved.  Ryan and Kendall pretended they were American Ninja Warriors all day as they crossed the floating logs.  Kendall tried the water slides for the first time.  She was pretty apprehensive at first, but absolutley loved it.

It was a great trip, and we are so thankful Joe and Judi allow us to enjoy their beautiful home so we can enjoy the fun and sun of Sunriver.
