26.2 - I did it!

I finished the Seattle Marathon today in 4 hours, 49 minutes and 35 seconds. It was one of the hardest things I've ever done, but feels so great to say I did it! Me and 3 other of my teammates from Team in Training stuck together most of the race. It was so great to have their support...especially through miles 13-19.

The weather was perfect for running - 60 and cloudy. It was a little too foggy to see the wonderful views, but that kept us focused on the task at hand.

I'm super sore right now, and am hoping I can walk tomorrow! Hopefully the ice bath I took when I got home will do its magic.

Training with The Team was an amazing experience! I've made friends for life.

Happy Birthday Ryan!

Today is Ryan's 2nd birthday. It's hard to believe he's already 2. It's crazy how time flies. All the party guests just left, I've finished cleaning up the house and David is trying to get the birthday boy down to sleep. He was pretty wound up after a great day!

We took him swimming this morning. There is a great pool...just for kids...north of our house. The pool was shallow enough for Ryan to wade and as warm as a bath. He spotted the Nemo fish right away and swam with it the entire time. He could have stayed all day!

The party was great! Ryan had a really good nap so was ready to play when the guests arrived. David made an awesome dinner...as always! The best part of the party was after we sang "Happy Birthday" to Ryan, he blew out his candles, then shouted "again" and put the candles right back in his cupcake! So we did it again, and again! He could have cared less about eating the cupcake, but loved blowing out the candles and singing "Happy Birthday"!

We are so blessed to have such a happy, fun loving little boy!

Party Guests included: Grandma Karen, Grandpa Bill, Auntie Melanie, Kassi, Lisa, Carlin, Greg, Emma and Lucia. Thanks for partying with us!!
