The boys played well tonight, and it's always fun to watch Ryan play catcher. He's been playing that position quite a bit this year, and it's been fun watching him progress as he's learning he has to be aggressive behind the plate. He has gotten pretty good at throwing out runners trying to steal second!

Little League 2016: White Sox vs. Orioles
Baseball is in full swing with games every 2-3 days. Ryan and David are loving it, and even better so are the girls! They love to go to the games and definitely find intersting ways to entertain themselves!

A Night At Lake Union
I stopped in to visit my old Lake Union Rotary friends tonight. It was such a beautiful night by the water, and so wonderful to see my Rotary friends.
I'm now a member of the Sammamish Rotary Club, so don't get to see these good folks as often as I'd like to. Being by the water really made me miss my old club. There's no better venue in Rotary than the Center for Wooden Boats.

Doggone Delicious
We tried THIS recipe today. Seriously. The best brownie recipe ever.
Yum! So good.
As you can see they are lick-your-plate-clean good.

The View From Here
Natalie spent time lounging on the trampoline this afternoon - enjoying the view and reading some books. I'm enjoying the last few days alone with her while I can.

Campfire Stories
My sister Jen and her friend Jill stopped in to visit on their way to and from Sitka this week. We all enjoyed seeing them, Natalie especially. She was FULL of questions and stories for them!

Spring Break Adventures
We had a stay-cation over Spring Break. I took a few days off of work, but the kids didn't want to do anything. They were so content to be home doing whatever they wanted, which meant lots of digging in the garden for me!
On Friday, I decided we had to get out so we ventured to Tacoma to a Lego event, lunch and a short visit at the zoo. It was a really fun day.

Check Up
The kids had dentist appoitnments today. They really like going to the dentist. As you can see it's quite kid friendly. Ryan and Kendall know the drill (no pun intended), but Natalie is still pretty apprehensive about it all. The poor hygenist who ended up with her was probably thrilled to get her out of there. Natalie questioned everything she did, refused to cooperate and talked non-stop. It was quite comical to watch. She definitely beats to her own drum, and knows what she does and does not want!

Natalie's Dance Recital
Natalie's dance recital was today. Her teacher is having hip surgery so the class ended a little earlier than it usually does, which is kind of a bummer. Natalie LOVES going to school on Monday because that is "ballet day".
Here are some adorable videos!
The older kids are on Spring Break so the whole family was able to attend the recital, which was super fun.
Natalie was shy, which is unusal for us to see but we all adored watching her. After the recital Miss Shannon commented on how shy she was, and how she is not like that during her regular class. Poor girl hates being in front of a crowd.
She definitely knew what to do, and it was such a fun recital.

Little League 2016: White Sox vs. Mariners
It was such an exciting game tonight!
The White Sox were down 8 - 14 at the bottom of the last inning. It wasn't looking good for our White Sox, but they put on the best rally and ended up tieing the game! Woo hoo! AND our #11 almost won the game. He eneded up getting called out at home as he tried to score the winning run. Oh, man! What a bummer, but we were still so proud of the boys for playing their hardest until the very end.
Go White Sox!

Going For Home
Today, Ryan scrimmaged his IBC team from last year. I kind of felt like a trader standing on the sidelines in Liberty blue. I am so happy Ryan is playing with kids he will be going to middle school and high school with. Our new Liberty team did awesome against a good IBC team. It was super fun to watch them do so well, and catch up with friends.
And the weather and scenery was spectacular!

Outside Fun
We have been outside soaking up the sun, and totally taking advantage of this summer-like weather we've been having this week.
David and I have been digging in the dirt, and the kids have had fun playing in Grandpa's "dump truck", jumping on the trampoline, shooting hoops, biking and scootering around the cul de sac and playing with the neighbors.
Life is good.
