Halloween 2015

We celebrated Halloween with our friends again this year.  It was a blast!  It was probably our wettest Halloween yet, but we still had fun.

Final Game: Liberty vs. Eastlake Black

The boys went out with a bang, playing their best game yet.  The beat Eastlake Black, who they lost to a few weeks earlier.  What a great way to end the season!

It sure was a fun first season of football.  We definitely saw the game click with Ryan towards the end of the season.  He really stepped up his effort and aggressivness.  We are so proud of him!

Go Liberty!

Halloween Parties

Halloween is such a fun time for the kids.

All 3 were excited about their Halloween parties at school.  Natalie got to wear her costume.  She wanted to be a monkey, which is so fitting for her!  Her school goes all out with decorations, crafts, snacks, etc.  I'm always so impressed at the effort the teachers at Mountainside put out to make this event happen.

The kindergarteners had a Scarecrow Party so Kendall was able to dress up as a scarecrow or cow girl.  They had a parade in the morning, then partied in the afternoon.  I was able to join the fun, and loved watching her classroom in action.  She has the best teacher!  They had a glow in the dark dance party.  Watching those little ones bust a move was the best!  So much fun!

Ryan's class had a big party with all the 3rd graders celebrating together.  He had a great time, too!

5 Minute Vacation

My new obsession:  La Croix sparkling water.  When I drink the coconut flavor with lime I close my eyes and pretend I'm in Hawaii.  It's a quick 5 minute vacation from reality.  I'll take that any day, especially when my kids can't get along.

Fish Taco Yumminess

We whipped up these amazing fish tacos for dinner.

They were so good I had to share.  It's my new favorite recipe!

Liberty vs. Bellevue

The girls and I killed time before the football game at this beautiful park by the water.

It was a rough outing for the Liberty boys.  They played a really good team.  Even though they lost, it is still fun to watch them.

Minnesota Love

I dashed off to Minnesota for a quick weekend.

The plane ride - by myself - was lovely, not to mention the amazing skies and beautiful sunset that greeted me.  It was so good for the soul!

I had the best weekend hanging out with family and friends.  It's always so wonderful to get back to your roots.  Minnesota is the best!

Dinner by the Fire Pit

It was a perfectly chilly night to have dinner by the fire.

Liberty vs Eastlake

It was a rough day at the field today.  The boys lost 22-13.

It was a classic Pacific Northwest game from a sideline perspective - pouring rain and wind!  We were all excited to get home and get dry clothes on!

Go Liberty!

Playing Christmas

Natalie found my basket of unmatched socks (there are quite a few!) and decided to "play Christmas" with them.  She stuffed them all with treasures and set them by the chimeny.  LOVE her imagination!

Cheers!

David has been whipping me up these amazing lemon drop drinks.  They are so delicious!  I will say Cheers! to that anyday.

Area Elk

The boys spotted these guys on their way home from practice one night, and it seems to be a daily hang out spot for the elk.

MNF Date

So I made out with Kam.

And David was like, "you did what?"!

Ha ha!  We had a great time on our Monday Night Football date!  We always seem to be there when there is controversy!  LOVE IT!  Bill and his friend Jerry joined us and we had a great time screaming our heads off with all our Seahawk friends.  Hive fives all around!

It was such a beautiful evening.

Fall Fun

We've been loving the beautiful fall days we've been having.  We've been spending lots of time outside playing, finishing up yard projects for the year and all kids of other things, of course.  The days just fly by.

Grandma Karen surprised us with this fun Halloween friend.

There is nothing better than fall colors!  We enjoyed an afternoon at Issaquah Salmon Days.

Liberty vs Bellevue Seahawks

Another fun Saturday watching these boys play!  They won the game 29-0, and Ryan even had the chance to run the ball (and he made a first down!).

Go Liberty!
