Gina and I were asked nearly 10 times over the weekend if we were twins. Sisters, not twins was our response.
I don't ever remember being asked that question before, so it was quite shocking how many times we were asked it over the weekend.
We went shopping together (where we were asked if we were twins), and both ended up buying the same shirt. We couldn't resist taking a picture together really looking like twins.
I didn't realize how much taller I am either.

Church Fun
We met up to say hello to our friends after church today, and while we were chatting the kids were offered a ride in the golf cart.
They couldn't refuse! Donuts and golf cart rides....who wouldn't love our church!

A Zoo Adventure
We visited the Point Definance Zoo and Aquarium with Evie and Gina today. We'd never been so it was a fun adventure for all of us. It turned out to be a beautiful day to explore the zoo.
After our zoo adventure we stopped to have lunch at the new Wild Fin in Tacoma. Yum! It's a great new location, with a fun water area outside that the kids couldn't resist.
They had a blast running through the fountains. It was nice, but not nice enough to get wet. There were endless giggles in the short time we were there. They had so much fun. They all ended up riding home soaking wet but talked non stop about their water adventure!

Minnesota Visitors
Gina and Evie came to visit us!
We were so excited to have them. We kept Kendall home from school on Friday so they girls could play. They were so happy to be together.

A Note From Kendall
Ha ha!
It reads: I'm sorry that I got too crazy.
She was sent to her room because she could not calm her body down.

She Asks The Tough Questions
Miss Kendall is a thinker.
She is always pondering life's big questions. I have to be on my toes when she's around, because the tough questions are always on the tip of her tongue.
Some of our conversations as of late include:
"Mom, did you know boys can marry boys and girls can marry girls?" "If boys marry boys, how does the baby come out?" - We then discussed adoption. She did know that if girls marry girls they could have a baby but I did not go into sperm donation with my 6 year old, for the record.
"Mom, what's the most important thing in the world?" We answered God and family. A big, random question coming from the back seat of the car, I do have to say.
And then there was the questions that came after we discussed Aunt Melanie being adopted. So many questions. We answered them honestly, and she thought each answer over and kept the questions coming until she was satisfied.
I'm amazed at how inquisitive she is, and how deep the questions go. What I wouldn't give to be inside her head for a day.

A House Divided
How fun to have Mom and Dad here for the Vikings vs. Seahawks playoff game, and what a game it was. It was so cold in MN, and then that poor Vikings kicker had to miss the field goal right at the end. A soul crushing loss for the Vikings. It was hard to get excited that the Seahawks actually won.
Ryan was so mad because he thought the Hawks were going to lose, so went outside to play catch. He couldn't believe it when he came back in to find his beloved Seahawks had actually won.

Gifts From Grandma and Grandpa
Our little tradition is to open Christmas gifts from Grandma and Grandpa when they visit. It's so fun to have them here to watch the kids open their gifts.
