Kicking it.

Grandpa Bill and Ryan settled in to watch "Cars" last night. I couldn't resist capturing this "monkey see, monkey do" moment!

Sewing at the beach.

Here are a few pictures of Grandma Karen and Ryan sewing at the beach! They had the best time! I would giggle every time I heard Ryan telling Grandma to go "faster" or ask her for the thousandth time, "Grandma, what are you doing?".

Grandpa's new flag.

Grandpa Bill put up a new flag this weekend that guides us to the proper beach path! I can't tell you how excited I am about this flag. The beach goes for miles and miles, and whenever I walk the beach I always get so paranoid that I am not going to find my way home. Now I'll be able to find my way back every time! Thanks, Bill!

Full Speed Ahead!

Ryan loves to run...period. He goes a hundred miles an hour, which had become increasingly more frustrating as my belly continues to grow. I just can't keep up like I used to, and he's not the best listener when I ask him to STOP!

It was fun to watch him run in the sand dunes this weekend, and roll down the hills. He would just giggle as he did it! What a fun place for a boy to be a boy!

Memorial Day weekend at the Beach!

Ryan and I ventured to the beach house on Saturday morning for the long weekend. Unfortunately, we had to leave David at home to work. We hate when he can't come with us. We were so happy to get there and see Grandpa Bill and Grandma Karen...and Robbie! Ryan had the best time playing in the yard with Grandpa Bill. They blew bubbles, played baseball and football and took Robbie on walks to the beach. Ryan was very proud to help hold Robbie's leash.

Yesterday, Ryan found a new hobby....sewing with Grandma Karen. Ryan liked to move the pins from one container to the other, and would give Grandma Karen the number of pins she asked for. They had the best time!

I enjoyed some free time to catch up on some scrapbooking! I got a good start, but realized I have a long way to go!! I think we'll be going back again soon!

Andrew visits Seattle!

My cousin Andrew stopped to see us a few weeks ago on his way to Sitka for the summer. Ryan loved having him around. Since the Mariner's were out of town that weekend, we took a tour of Safeco field instead. It wasn't the best activity for a toddler, but Ryan did pretty good (I won't go into details of the one heart-stopping event). Needless to say, we all made it out in one piece!

After the tour we stopped at Cutters for sushi. Yummy! Ryan quickly showed Andrew why he doesn't get to go out to eat often!! I think we were all ready to get home and rest.
