Halloween 2018

Another awesome Halloween evening is in the books!  We enjoyed a great night with friends!

Kendall was a witch, Natalie a flamingo and Ryan was Black Panther, and in epic mom-fail fashion I did not get a picture of my trio.

The Nightmare at Beaver Lake 2018

The Nightmare at Beaver Lake was once again a ton of work, but a ton of fun!  Ryan and I enjoyed helping with construction together and checking out the the creepy baby set!  David and I volunteered in the kitchen this year making dinner for the 100+ volunteers that make the event happen.  In addition to working in the kitchen, I did a few nights of line control.  It's such a great time, but I'm always happy when November 1 rolls around!

Pumpkin Carving 2018

What fun watching these kids carve pumpkins this year!  They all got into it, and did most of their own carving.  A sure sign they are growing up.  Natalie loved digging out the guts!

 

Mud Pie Magic

We have been loving these beautiful fall mornings.  Mud pies are best when made in the morning sunshine.  And check out that cool garden spider?  They are everywhere this year.

Fun with Friends

Yay! for playdates and art class with friends!

 

The Playhouse

David has been working his butt off creating this amazing playhouse for the kids.  It is totally out of his comfort zone - he has no carpentry in his background - but he's done an awesome job!

The kids are going to play for hours and hours and hours in this thing!  It's so cool!

And when they're over it, I'm going to make it into a wine shack for me!

Pictures with Carmon

The fall colors were prime for family pictures, and our friend Carmon was available so we jumped on the opportunity.  She wanted to test some things out so we played guinea pigs.  It really was a gorgeous day, but we could not get Kendall to cooperate.  Man, was she in a mood!  We tried and tried, but there was no pulling her out of her funk so we called it a day.  Carmon worked her magic, like she does, and we did end up with some good ones.  It just wasn't a great experience for any of us.

Ryan's Birthday Fright Night

Ryan decided to celebrate his birthday a bit early so we could take his crew to the Nightmare at Beaver Lake.  OMG!  It was the best party ever!  The boys had the best time, even though a few of them were scared out of their minds.  But I think David and I had more fun than the boys did.

 

Cribbage Wars

David and I have been having fun play cribbage with our boy.  I usually beat everyone, but we just play for fun. ;)

Kendall's Birthday Bash

Kendall wanted a cookie making, mummy crafting, Greatest Showman watching, sleepover birthday bash.  So we did!  It was an awesome celebration for our cool 9-year old.
