After a super busy, overwhelming, crazy week we needed to get out of the house over the weekend. We had beautiful weather in Seattle so went walking. We went to one of our favorite parks, Cowen Park. It's like your in the wilderness but you're really in the middle of the city. The kids were so happy to run, and David and I were so happy to watch them and enjoy the gorgeous fall colors.

Piling Up
I've been pretty good about keeping up with the laundry since going back to work, juggling 3 kids, etc. But last week about did me in. There was just too much going on and couldn't get to the laundry so over the weekend ended up doing 6 loads! Wow! That's a lot of laundry to fold, especially when you have little people clothes in there. I was amazed that all the piles stayed upright as I kept adding and adding and adding to them!

Four Months
Miss Natalie is 4 months old, and has been very busy. She's now rolling over, smiling, giggling - all the good stuff! Ryan and Kendall have been loving interactions with her now that they are getting reactions from her. And she loves the attention. If she's left alone for too long, she lets you know. She likes to be right in the middle of the action!
I couldn't resist taking the pictures this month without clothes. Her chubby rolls are precious! She is one big girl, that's for sure. She's already into 9 month size clothes, weighs 16 solid pounds and is off the charts for her height.
She still sleeping like a champ. She's waking up at least once a night, but I can deal with that. All night was awesome, but I think she realized she was spoiling me so had to change it up a bit!
It's so much fun to watch her realize what she can do. She just figured out she can grab her toes, and roll from tummy to back. She also figured out if she wiggled her toes she could knock down the blocks!
So much fun!

Lots to Say
Kendall has been so verbal lately. She has new words daily, and is stringing together sentences like crazy. I love it, and I hate it. It is so fun to listen to her chatter, but she's also very demanding with her words. She has definitely entered the terrible twos. I'm pretty sure she thinks that since she can ask for something now, the answer will always be yes. When it's "No" she drops to the floor in hysteria. It's getting old quickly.
Some of my favorite things she has to say these days are:
1. "Tank you, Mum" or "Tank you, Mommy" - She does have good manners.
2. "Go way" - when she doesn't want to be bothered, which is more often than you think. The girl likes her space.
3. "Ichi-Ro". Of course she picked this up from Ryan but starts chanting it when we're watching football, not baseball.
4. "Hung-wee, peese". She says this when she wants something to eat - aka Hungry, Please.
5. And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE when she starts singing her ABC's. She gets to about G then doesn't get the rest, but so fun!
The two things she says that I HATE are "soccer ball" and "gum", because when either of these are spoken it leads to a tantrum. She is obsessed with gum and if I leave my bag anywhere with in eye shot of her she starts repeating "gum", "gum", "gum" non-stop. If I leave my bad on the floor she empties it completely in search of her beloved gum. She thinks she can have a piece, but can NOT (because she swallows it) which leads to a massive tantrum, ugly cry and all. This happens at least 3 times a day. And I'm not exaggerating! I should probably leave my bag in the car now that I think about it.
You would think that when she says "Soccer ball" she is referring to a round object you kick. However, this is not the case as I have learned. The other day she kept repeating "soccer ball" so I took her outside to kick the soccer ball around. This lead to another huge tantrum, with her screaming "soccer ball", "soccer ball". Do you understand my confusion? After a while I realized she was calling a sucker a "soccer ball". Duh. Of course, that round object on a stick is called a "soccer ball". Boy, am I stupid.
There is nothing sweeter than when she's singing songs, which she does often. Here is her singing in the bath tub the other night.

Reactions
David was sucking the helium out of a balloon the other night and talking like a crazy fool. I loved the kids reactions! Ryan, as you can see, thought it was hysterical. Kendall wasn't so sure what to think.

Pumpkin Patch
We visited The Farm on Wednesday morning in Snohomish (about 30 minutes north of Seattle). The kids had so much fun picking out their pumpkins, and just running free in the field. We got to see pigs, sheep, ducks, goats, baby bunnies and kittens (so cute!). It really was a fun way to spend the morning.

Boehm Brunch
We hosted the Boehm's for Brunch on October 2nd. Michael and Jenn were in town for a wedding, Aunt Jackie and Uncle George were visiting from Texas and there was a home Seahawk game that Grandpa Bill had tickets for. It was the perfect day for us all to get together. Aunt Dyane and Melanie joined us all as well. It was such a fun morning catching up with everyone.
It was also a good excuse to celebrate Kendall's birthday again and Michael's too. Grandma Karen brought up amazing Elmo cupcakes for the celebration. Kendall enjoyed opening her gifts and eating cupcakes yet again! This birthday stuff is fun!!

Rolling Along
She's officially on the move! Natalie started rolling over this week. She did it for David this last Thursday, but until I saw it with my own eyes I wouldn't make it official. Well, she did it for me on Monday and again on Tuesday, and will roll over almost every time I lay her down now. Go, Natty, Go!
