Happy Home Opener

Our neighbor stopped by Tuesday morning to see if we could use his tickets to the Mariner's Home Opener on Tuesday night.  He thought David might want to take Ryan, which he totally would have but David suggested I go instead.  Ummm...YES, please!  Ryan and I had a great time.  Neither of us had been to Opening Night before, so we loved soaking in all the pregame festivities including an appearance by our beloved Seahawks.  Russell Wilson, Coach Carroll and 6 other players were in attendance for a little pregame celebration of their Super Bowl win.  We were thrilled to watch Russell Wilson throw out the opening pitch to Felix Hernandez.  So cool!

Our M's haven't been the greatest lately, but started off the season with an impressive 4-2 road record. They have even started creating a little buzz around town.  After all the fun pregame stuff, they quickly fell behind 3-0 in the first inning.  It was completely deflating, but they battled back thanks to our new Designated Hitter slugging two home runs out of the park!  We had a blast watching them battle back and pull out a 5-3 victory.

As always, Ryan was an awesome spectator making it through 8.5 innings before being overtaken by sleepiness.  The guys next to us must have left 3 or 4 times during the game, while my little champ sat through almost the entire game.  He makes his mama proud.  I love how much he loves this game!

The Seahawks and the Lombardi Trophy.  It's super blurry, but oh, well.
