I had a few errands to run, so decided to stop for a swim at Gene Coulon Park in Renton which was on the way. It would have been perfect, except the beach was closed. Huge bummer. The kids explored on the dock while we plotted our next move.
Ryan was insistent on swimming, so I looked on my phone to see if there was another spot with beach access nearby. GPS is amazing! Turns out, there is a really great little park/swim area just up the road that is not well traveled. It was fantastic!
It was us and a two other families. The kids had a blast swimming and playing in the sand.
It was the perfect way to spend the first day of summer vacation.
