Boom!

The anticipation for the fireworks on the 4th was palpitating!  Ryan was so excited.  We started the night off with our own AMAZING display by David.  It was totally awesome!  I might be exaggerating a little, but it was amazing to us.

As it started to FINALLY get dark we ventured down to the beach to set up camp and take in the miles and miles of fireworks displays.  It was a pretty spectacular show that words can not explain nor pictures can do justice.  There are just fireworks going off everywhere, and we just sat back and soaked it all in.  Except for Natalie who was oblivious to her surrounding and was content filling her bucket full of sand.

Sand and Waves

Seriously, this place is so magical!  We spent the afternoon digging in the sand and playing in the water.  We made our best ever sandcastle, by digging a hole big enough for the trio to fit in.  After all the digging we decided to chase waves.  Pictures of these three on the beach will never get old, and watching them play in the sand and waves is the best entertainment ever.

One of my favs:

She is just hysterical!

There is no better entertainment.

Clean Up Crew

An annual beach clean up is held the day after the 4th.  The beach is littered with fireworks debris among many other things.  We ventured down to do our part in the clean-up. While David, Bill and I cleaned up, the kids played in the sand.  I turned to check on them and found this:

I'm not quite sure what possess Natalie to do certain things, but she always has us laughing.

I love how amazing Natalie's hair looks in this picture, and also love how it looks as if Ryan is going to take her head off with his bat.  He was no where near her for the record.

These kids just love to fill buckets full of sand.

I love how this captures her adoration for her brother.

Robbie is such a good dog.

She was not into getting her picture taken.

She was into hanging out with her grandpa.

Batter up!  How lucky were we to find a bat left behind.

Showing off their rare coins - aka fireworks debris.

Rubber Duckie You're The One

This girl loves all of Grandma's rubber duckies as the beach house.

Crab!

There is nothing better than fresh crab!

David, Bill, Ryan and Kendall went crabbing our first morning at the beach.  This was Kendall's first trip on Grandpa Bill's boat.  She was a little nervous, according to her dad but had a good time.

They came back with plenty of crab for dinner.  Kendall wanted nothing to do with touching them, though.

They went out again the next day, and got even more.  Two crab meals in two days - jackpot!  Kendall gained some confidence and decided holding a crab wasn't so bad after all!
