Since I last posted, we have moved! We actually moved! I still can't believe it actually happened. It's been quite the process, but after patiently waiting on a short sale that took 9 1/2 months we are officially Issaquah, WA residents.
It's been a crazy month of packing and organizing and unpacking and organizing, but we're getting there. The official move date was January 19th, but we moved quite a bit over on the 18th with the help of Uncle Michael. We were even able to sleep in the house for the first time that night. It was a little bit of a nightmare thanks to Miss Natalie, but Ryan and Kendall thought it was pretty awesome.
The transition is going well. Ryan started his new school on Tuesday. He now goes to half day kindergarten at Maple Hills Elementary. He hasn't missed a beat. He loves his new teacher and his new school. He rides the bus, has made new friends and has had a pretty seamless transition. The rest of us, on the other hand, are not used to having him around as much! He bounces off the walls when he gets home, and terrorizes his sisters endlessly. We've decided more structure is needed so we will work on fine-tuning that this week.
The girls, who are now sharing a room haven't been sleeping well. We're hoping this works itself out. We don't feel like they are waking each other up, they are both just not sleeping well. With Natalie, it's pretty typical, but Kendall has been up more than she usually is. I'm sure all the changes are just catching up to her.
The family member who has had the hardest time is Kona, the cat. She just isn't sure what to think. She walks around crying all the time (making me cuckoo). We'll get there!
We are all loving the extra space, for sure. We have an entire room that is empty because we don't have furniture for it yet but the kids are loving it. They wrestle and play ball and just run in circles in the open space. So fun!
Paint colors and furniture arrangements are taking over my brain, and can't wait to get started on my first project. Stay tuned for updates (and pictures).
