Thanks to Grandpa Bill's great tickets, David, Ryan, Bill and I went to the Seahawks game on December 1st. It was a chilly Thursday night, but we had a great time. It was a good game, lots of big plays to watch. And the Seahawks beat the Eagles! I loved watching Ryan get into the game - lots of high fives after the big plays!

Deck The Halls
We spent the week after Thanksgiving decorating the house. Christmas is our favorite time of year, and there is nothing we enjoy more than gearing up for the big day.
We landed a great tree thanks to Ryan's help.
We always have fun going in search of the perfect tree.
Ryan could not wait to decorate the ceramic tree, which is his very favorite thing to do. He was very good to allow his sister to help this year.
We all enjoyed getting the lights and ornaments ready for the tree.
Kendall was right in the middle of it all directing traffic!
And the boys could not wait to get outside and get the lights up on the house and on the trees. Clark Griswold and his little helper adorned as many lights as possible!

Thanksgiving 2011
We hosted Thanksgiving with the Boehms this year. It was David's first attempt at doing the full meal deal. Karen was great help to walk him through the steps, and he gained a new appreciation for all the work she put in on all those previous Thanksgivings. It was a lot of work, but so delicious.
We had a great day with family, and the kids were thrilled to have more people around than just boring old Mom and Dad.

A Week of Firsts
Last week was a big week for Kendall. She got her first ear infection - no fun at all, and her first big girl haircut - loads of fun! After getting her on an antibiotic she is doing much better. She still isn't sleeping the greatest, but we're thankful she's feeling better and is her spunky self again.
Her first haircut was much needed, according to her Dad. My mom and I had both trimmed her bangs, but it really was time for the next step. Her hair grows forward so neither my mom or I knew how it should be cut so we sought out professional help. Kendall did an awesome job sitting nicely as Jodi trimmed away. Jodi did a great job, and we were very pleased with the final result. Kendall even got a sparkly glitter dusting before we left. It's so not Kendall's thing, but I do think she had fun with it! She was excited to come home and show Ryan her new look. Most of her curls are gone in the back, which makes me a little sad but I know they'll be back before we know it.

Mountain Man
David spent a week in Montana mid-November. It's his much needed time away to recharge his batteries. You can see from the pictures why it's good for his soul.
Letters on the Loose
Kendall has been into learning her letters. She definitely knows "W" thanks to all the Washington Husky shirts her Daddy wears around the house. She's getting there with the other 25. I'm sure she'll know them all before we know it. Kids are such little sponges.
She was totally into the Scrabble game we had out the other night. It is right up her alley. She loves to line things up or organize or compartmentalize things whatever you want to call it. I think she's a little OCD. Everything has to be just so or else she freaks out. Or she could just be particular about things like her mother. In any case, it was such fun watching her call out the letters as she lined them up.

Good Monday Morning!
I haven't been updating for awhile, so thought I'd greet you today with this sweet face! Since Thanksgiving we've been dealing with sick kids, and very little sleep. I have had no time or energy to update. The girls have been getting us up at least 5 to 6 times a night, if not more. Thankfully, we're in a better pattern now so you should be seeing more updates soon. We have been busy!
