Natalie beats to her own drum.  She has always had her own ideas about things, and only likes to do what she wants to do.  I think these qualities will suit her well in life, but they make it really hard to parent her.  I imagine her teacher feels the same frustration at times.  Natalie has been bringing home writing pages that have no words on them.  The illustrations are amazing, but there is never a story to go along with those illustrations!  I've been getting worried about this for weeks and then all of a sudden she brings homes these:
