My First Art Lessons

I signed up to be the Art Docent in Ryan's class this year.  No one else was volunteering to do it, so I bit the bullet.  I have to teach an hour art lesson to the class (28 kids!) once a month.  Even though I've taught 3 lessons, I still have no idea what I'm doing!  I know quite a few people with experience so I've been picking their brains for ideas and help.  Thank goodness for them, or I'd be lost.  It's a great group of kids, and it's been going well for the most part.  Here are the first 3 projects we've done.

Cookie Party With The Warrens

Our dear friends, Shari and Donald came over for a super fun evening of cookie baking and movie watching!  I'm still shocked that my Christmas-loving friend had never seen the movie Home Alone.  I'm happy we could help her get that one checked off her list.

Holiday Girl Scouts

Kendall is loving Girl Scouts, and tonight made her love it even more.  They baked cookies, made trail mix, ate pizza and giggled a lot!  It's fun for her to have a group of friends she doesn't go to school with.  They all have a good time together.

A Party With A View

We had the RFH Holiday party in an amazing building in downtown Seattle with the most amazing views of the Space Needle and Puget Sound.  The view definitely makes it worth all the work it is to host.  It is such a pretty city.
