This was the scene 10 minutes after we arrived at the cabin! I think they were excited to see Tulaby Lake.

Final Destination Reached
We reached our final destination on Tuesday, August 6 around 1pm. We stopped in Butte, MT on our first night, then made it all the way to Jamestown, ND on the second night. If Natalie had been a little better sleeper in the car, we might have made it all the way to the cabin on Monday. The kids loved staying in the hotel so it all worked out well. They were great little troopers, especially Ryan. He was such a good helper at the times we needed him to be. I was amazed at how well the transferred from being asleep in the car to going to sleep in the hotel. There was a little excitement, but they settled down quickly for the most part.
We were all thrilled to get to the cabin!

Baseball Camp
Ryan had baseball camp July 29 - August 2. The camp went from 9am - 3pm everyday that week. That's a lot of baseball, if you ask me! He loved every minute of it. Two of his buddies from Little League joined him and the three of them had an awesome week.
On the last day their homework was to decorate their t-shirts. Little did I know Ryan would take that super seriously. He sat for 2 hours after dinner meticulously decorating his shirt with the team name, his number and rainbow fish. I was in awe! He did such a fantastic job.
Go Ryan!

1st Annual Minnesota Road Trip
We departed on our first ever road trip to Minnesota on August 4 around 3:40pm. The kids were beyond excited to get to the cabin to see their cousins. I was a little concerned they didn't quite understand that we were going to be in the car for a very long time. To my surprise they did amazing!
Here is the excited Trio locked and loaded:
Here is the scene 10 minutes later:
Our first stop was at a rest stop just outside Spokane:
We played a little frisbee, kicked a ball around and watched some wild horses. Such a beautiful view!

Boehm Beach Weekend
We spent last weekend at the beach house with the Boehms. There is nothing better than being at the beach!
I love snapping pictures of the kiddos while the play in the sand. Our first trip down was anything but fun. Natalie was such a crab and refused to walk. I attempted to leave her on the path, thinking she would follow, but the stubborn old coot would not budge. That should have been my first clue to turn back! She and Kendall could not get along. Natalie kept stealing Kendall's sand toys. It was all rather comical to watch them work it out at first, but it got old fast. Once it escalated it was anything but funny!
We definitely enjoyed our other trips down to watch the sea, though.
Aunt Jenn, Uncle Michael, Aubrey and Grandma Karen joined us on Saturday!
The Center of Attention: Aubrey Christine. The kids can not get enough of her. I'm sure Miss Aubrey appreciates her personal space so much more after we leave! She is so sweet.
It's so peaceful and serene at the beach!

This is Natalie's opinion on walking to the beach on her own two legs.
Sweet K. Love this girl.
The eyes have it.
The Trio, each in their own corner of the beach. If only they could have stayed in their respectable corners.

Summer Photoshoot
We had another round of pictures taken by Seattle Flashing Lights a few weeks ago. Again, David and I were convinced none of them would turn out. The kids were so uncooperative. And then we get the pictures from Stephanie, and our jaws dropped. How does she do it?
We just love the results and how she always captures the sweet personalities of these three. Love them!
