Story Time with Kendall

I love this girl.

This is one of my absolute favorite things she does:

This girl loves her books, and has her favorites for sure.  On this night she even lined those favorites up in rows.  And while her reading is not nearly dramatic as it usually is, her sweet voice is still the most adorable thing.

I should add that when it's time to for me to read books before bedtime, she rarely lets me.  She insists on reading them herself.  I just love to listen to her.  What's really amazing to me is that she remembers the stories to all of them even if she's only heard it once. Obviously it's not word for word, but she definitely gets the general plot down.

From the Outside

Here are a few photos of our new house from the outside.

The view of the back as we're coming up the trail.

The front.

The trio on the big rock in the front yard.
The kids love the long driveway for riding bikes, the large yard for playing ball and the big rock for climbing. It's been a busy two weeks getting to know our new surroundings.  We're excited for the weather to warm up and dry out so we can be outside even more.

The Trail

We have an awesome trail in our new backyard that leads to a creek with a little foot bridge and into a new neighborhood.  It's so great to have more room to explore!  The kids think it is so cool.

A worm!  A worm!  Ryan would not touch it, but Kendall was totally game.

Creative Kids

I love when my kid's creativity comes to life.

Jen and I found them in the living room (which currently doesn't have furniture and is set up with tents and forts) "decorating" their new house.

They got into my arts and crafts supply and found my buttons and push pins then started pushing the pins through the button holes into a box.

I would love to know what makes them come up with these ideas.  So creative and fun!

Happy Birthday Auntie Jenny!

My sister Jenny came to visit us last week, and it happened to be her birthday!  We were so excited to celebrate with her.

It was so wonderful to have her help with the kids so we could get a few projects done in the house.  We loved, loved, loved having her here.
