Andrew visits Seattle!

My cousin Andrew stopped to see us a few weeks ago on his way to Sitka for the summer. Ryan loved having him around. Since the Mariner's were out of town that weekend, we took a tour of Safeco field instead. It wasn't the best activity for a toddler, but Ryan did pretty good (I won't go into details of the one heart-stopping event). Needless to say, we all made it out in one piece!

After the tour we stopped at Cutters for sushi. Yummy! Ryan quickly showed Andrew why he doesn't get to go out to eat often!! I think we were all ready to get home and rest.

It's a...

We had our ultra-sound yesterday. The baby's heart, brain, and all other organs look healthy! Such a relief! I'm feeling much better, and have lots more energy...thank goodness. I thought I'd let Ryan tell you if he was going to have a brother or a sister. Watch the video to find out!!

Tulips!

My friend Sarah Niklaus visited us last weekend. What a great way to spend my birthday weekend...with a good friend!! We had dinner at Palisade Saturday night, which was delicious. On Sunday we visited the Tulip Festival in Mount Vernon. The tulips weren't quite in bloom, but it was still gorgeous. We had a great weekend!!

Easter

Ryan had so much fun opening his Easter basket this year. He was thrilled with the one jelly bean in each egg or the one penny we hid in some. It's amazing how easy he is to please...most of the time! He also loved his new fishing pole.

David had to work all day, so Auntie Melanie met us for Easter service then had brunch with us. Our friend Kassi joined us for brunch as well. It was a fun, rainy day.

Happy Easter!

Ryan and I dyed Easter Eggs today. I think we might have to do it again when his Daddy is home, so he can enjoy it too. Ryan thought it was the greatest thing. We picked up "Cars" stickers for the eggs, but he didn't want anything to do with them. He was all about the "color". I had only hard boiled about 10 eggs, and that was not enough. So I pulled out all the eggs I had in the refrigerator. It took awhile to get him to understand he had to be extra gentle with those, but he did pretty good. We only lost 1 on the floor, and I managed to catch the 2nd before disaster struck...whew! What fun!!

Happy Boy!

Ryan has been so much fun lately. His favorite things these days are: shooting hoops, playing catch, reading books, singing songs, learning numbers & letters and his Daddy. He has new expressions every day that make David and I smile, and wonder where he has come up with them. He is so silly and loves to laugh!! There is never a dull moment.

David was out mowing the lawn the other day, and Ryan followed behind every step of the way. It was the funniest thing. It is very rare that he is not right by his Daddy's side, or wondering where his Daddy is.

He has also been into hugging. Out of the blue he'll decide one of needs a hug and gives us one. He is such a sweet kid!

Ready for Summer!

We had a gorgeous weekend in Seattle, and enjoyed spending every minute outside! We went to Carkeek Park a few times so Ryan could throw rocks and watch the trains go by. He asks to go to the beach everyday. The sunshine felt so wonderful...and we wish it could have stay longer! We are all definitely ready for summer!!
