Ready for Summer!

We had a gorgeous weekend in Seattle, and enjoyed spending every minute outside! We went to Carkeek Park a few times so Ryan could throw rocks and watch the trains go by. He asks to go to the beach everyday. The sunshine felt so wonderful...and we wish it could have stay longer! We are all definitely ready for summer!!

Ryan has been so silly lately. He has been experimenting with facial expressions. This is one of my favorites. I'll try to get his angry and surprised looks soon. They are pretty hysterical, too!!

Day 12 - Wednesday

Our last morning in Maui. Our flight departed at 1pm, so we headed straight to the pool one last time. Ryan just loved being at the pool, so we had to take advantage of it. It was quiet and the perfect way to spend our last morning in Maui. By the time we left for the airport it was raining cats and dogs! Our only hope was that it cleared up so Ben, Trisha and Jillian could enjoy their last few days on the island.

Day 11 - Tuesday

Our last full day in Maui....and the rain was pouring down. David and I were both feeling better, but still not great. Since it was raining, we decided to go to the Maui Ocean Center. When we got there we realized the rest of the tourists on Maui had the same idea. We decided to skip the long line in the rain and have lunch instead. After lunch we got to watch Chinese Dragon dancers. The kids were all fascinated with them.

We all met at the beach after nap time, and enjoyed one last sunset (even though we couldn't see it due to the clouds!). Everyone else enjoyed Taco Tuesday at Fred's, but the three of us and Uncle Benny headed home. We still weren't feeling up to tacos, and we passed our little bug onto Ben.

Day 10 - Monday

Today was a sad day in Maui. David and I spent the entire day sick in bed. Auntie Jenny and Grandma Sue picked Ryan in the morning so we could rest, which was awesome. It was so awful to just lie in bed while the beautiful Hawaiian sun is shining outside.

Day 9 - Sunday

We spent Sunday morning at the pool. It was a requested by the kids. After the pool we moved to the beach. Anywhere we can soak up the sun is fabulous!!

I started feeling a little off mid-day, and it got worse from there. I spent the night in bed, running to and from the bathroom. Yuk. Then, even worse, David got it.

Thankfully, the flu bug didn't get Ryan, but it definitely put a damper on the trip.
